PT Mandau Cipta Energi Nusantara (MCTN) is a company that manages the gas turbine power plant PLTG which was built to meet the increasing demand for electricity and steam for the Rokan Block in 1998 for the development of the Duri oil field. The construction started in 1998 and commenced operations in September 2000 with an investment value of 300 million USD. The MCTN power plant with the Cogeneration system is located in the North Duri Field in the Rokan Block Work Area in Sumatra, Indonesia with a generating capacity of 300 MW and steam of 360.000 steam barrels per day or equivalent to 80 of the Rokan Block’s needs. In line with the Rokan Block which was taken over by PT Pertamina (Persero), MCTN was acquired by PT PLN (Persero) on 6 August 2021.
