Rizal Calvary Marimbo, an Indonesian citizen, was born in Tomata, Central Sulawesi on August 30, 1969. He was appointed as Director of Generation Management on June 18, 2025. Previously, he served as an Expert Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources in the field of electricity.

Professional Experience & Expertise
His career journey is a blend of deep experience in the energy, investment, and communication sectors. Starting in the media world, he honed his skills as Deputy Editor for Banking and Finance at Investor Daily (Berita Satu Group) from 2004 to 2020. This experience was later enriched by a strategic role in corporate communication as Group Head of Corporate Communication at Bosowa Corporation (2010-2017). Since 2015, his focus has shifted towards the electricity sector, where he served as Executive Spokesperson for the Indonesian Private Power Producers Association until 2018, and later became its Executive Director until 2019.

Since 2019, his role has expanded into government policy and investment. He was part of the Investment Committee of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia (2019-2021) before becoming Expert Staff to the Minister of Investment and Head of the BKPM from 2021 to 2024. Over time, his commitment to the energy sector was further solidified with his appointment as Expert Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in the field of electricity. In addition, his expertise in corporate governance has been applied through his roles as Commissioner of PT PLN Batam, a position he has held since 2021, and as Chairman of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee since 2023.
