Burhanuddin Abdullah, an Indonesian citizen, was born in Garut on July 10, 1947. He was appointed President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PLN pursuant to the Decree of the Minister of SOEs No. 189/MBU/07/2024 dated July 23, 2024.

He is a senior national economist and former Governor of Bank Indonesia, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, and Assistant Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He has expertise in monetary policy, macroeconomic management, international relations, and public sector governance.
