MoU Signing with ACWA
PLN and ACWA are exploring the development of EBT projects, such as Photovoltaic Solar, Wind, Hydro, Pump Storage, Battery Peaker, Battery Storage, Tidal, and Geothermal, and jointly developing Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia facilities.

PT PLN (Persero) has received support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) regarding the early retirement plan for a steam power plant through the Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) scheme. This step was taken to accelerate the energy transition in Indonesia in order to achieve net zero emission (NZE) in 2060. This collaboration was realized through the signing of a memorandum of understanding between PLN and ADB which agreed to explore the early retirement of the first PLTU owned by a private electricity producer (IPP), namely PLTU Cirebon-1 through the ETM scheme.

PLN through its subsidiary PLN Indonesia Power, PT Indo Energi Hijau (ITH) supports the energy transition towards Net Zero Emission 2060 by providing a Solar Power Plant for PT Aisin Indonesia Automotive (AIIA). The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is the beginning of good cooperation between PLN and private companies in Indonesia in supporting government programs in the electricity sector.
